Glad i inspired you guys! I wanna see your pics! The vindi shot is more arty than actually showing the paint job, but it looks mean. The business end The eavy metal guys really don't get paid much and have a tight schedule of minis they don't always like. But I would like to do a big painting comp at some point. I'm still adding stuff and feel very inspired by earthens conversion work, and the chapter master from ensis. So more to come! |

My gaming club was sent an email by one of the 'eavy metal team a few months back They said that its the best job in the world, but also one of the worst at times. The dealines are so tight, i mean he said he had to paint a 500 pt tyranid army in about 4 days, which doesnt sound much, but its to 'eavy metal standards and its nids so theres bound to be a lot of em He was really good though even sent my mate a signed picture of some of the orks he did, (my mates a huge ork head, infact he probably is an ork So maybe one day Lev it might be you, and then i'll bug you for signed stuff |

Ha ha, maybe! But graphic design used to be fun before it became my job...then it gets old! You have to leave some fun things as just fun But i'll def be thinking about a major painting comp. Got a nice space for a big sword (dreams!) |

Thanks guys, just doing my bit for the cause! I had a lot of fun doing the objective markers, just gluing random things on! Try it! I'm almost done and my list set. I hate painting rank and file hence only 2 tac squads. Currently painting up the second Vindicator. My next projects will vary on how much time/enthusiasm I have. But... I'm thinking probably a plastic chapter master, beacuse frankly I just want to model the grenade launcher on a custom jump pack Crap, now i'm thinking about it and that usually means money spent. |

Very nice painting Ole boy. I especially like the face work and the hand painted Ravens. As much I would like to take a crack at it, my hand just isn't that steady. Can't wait to have my stuff finished so we can compare notes. GG |

GG Why thank you GG I like to put a bit of extra time in the faces as it is the focal point of a model without a helmet on. I also enjoy doing them. As for the badges, well I didnt enjoy them at all. But I dont like the way transfers look and have general issuse with them. I do get more comments about the badges than anything else, so I guess it payed off. Look forward to seeing the fruits of your labour too. If you pull off what your trying then it will be very cool indeed. |

i really like your models lev, you have archived a high tabletop standard and i'm sure that your army looks brilliant on the table i especially like the little details you have done at a few figures and the faces. but i have to say that the faces cold be a little brighter as the raven guard geneseed lets the skin turn white with the years and the hair black of course so scouts would have more color in their face as a captain who should be much brighter. ~hagg |
