Are those insignia's freehand or transfers? Also, looking great. Like the beaked heads on the assault marines especially. |

Thanks guys, looking forward to fielding them for the first time soon! All the insignias are freehand, I had "issues" with transfers Just practice Shrike I guess, I think all you guys do a great paint job. I did the beaks white so i can pick them out quickly and don't remove them by accident! |

Practice and taking your time, which might mean you spend several hours on a model... How long did you take Levitas? They're far too cool to have been done in anything under two hours each... |

Thanks guys, i'll try and take some on my phone, the camera was loaned to me for those shots. I spent about three hours on each, and about five or six on the Librarian. I have highlighted the black, it just hasnt showed that well,, but hay! theyre battle standard, I usually go much more detailed for painting comps but dont get the time these days! |

no, it's one of those things that is on my list but somehow I never get around to doing! I've entered Karandras into the store competion and had an Ork warboss win previous ones, also a blood bowl team. I dont have the time I used to have though, maybe next year! EDIT: I came second in the store painting competition |

They look amazing! How do you paint the winged crests on the chest armor? Like what colour base do you start with? How do you build up to the white? How do you do the shading around each feather? Is it inks? etc. |

Ignore my last post... I actually came second. There was one guy who was allowed to enter an ent into the single miniature catagory?!?! |

You can lightly (and I mean light) drybrush over to see where the raised areas are and then go over with solid colour. |
