Okay .. I know I had one of these before (Called something like my devastators which then turned into an ultra cool "Everyone's" devastators.) and I'm anal and like it when the pictures are always at the start of a post instead of searching through a thread for where they are, which is why I created the post like this.

Noted that I need to get a better lens for my NikonD80 (Probably a 35mm 1.4 aperture) so the whites are a bit off while I work on how to get some natural color and what to shoot them against to show black well.

So I started working on my Tactical troops trying to pump out 2-3 full 10 man squads including Missile Launchers (That's what I use most often in my tacticals)
The guys with the Flamer and Meltagun that are unpainted are becuase those weapons are my magnet ones so I can easily flip between flamers and melta's depending on who I'm facing, and I want to make sure I keep the same polarity on all my units, since those have alot of handling I have yet to paint the guns but I can take them off and paint them anytime)

Okay here is my Chappy (Need advice on how to add text, and whether my current method of purity seals (See sgts above I added today) will look good.
Basically I do a grey undercoat, add bleached bone, tough the higher spaces with PureWhite (Reaper Paint) then do a Sephia wash to make it look a bit dirty/aged.
But I can't get the txt small enough (As you can see by my sgts) any suggestion would be great.

Oh yeah probably since I'll be updating it regularly ... (My local boards we signed painting bledge... and mine is to paint 1500 RG in a year... I'm a slow painter should be interesting)

And I'm ALL about the magnets :)

I have 10 terminators... all 100% magnetized... while I don't have enough arms to field 2 versions of shooty terminators, I do have enough to field a mix of 5 LC and 5 TH-SS. Saves you tonnes of money! Plus I can change poses :P

Seeing how you have already painted so much, just choose one of the simplest base that is sand+some greens or snow. That wasn't so hard to do and look much nicer than just greens or just snow.

I like the look of those bases that are like a miniature diorama(spelling?) ones that look like a busted road etc, but they also tend to raise your miniature making True Line of site sorta sucky (One reason I don't like to put my jump troops on wire as well)

CR What do you mean city rubble? Not sure How I could do that.

In the end I probably won't base them until my whole army is painted because I'm just not good at basing so I'd like to focus on getting the army done. I was thinking snow.. or sand + grass as I have those just never decided if I was going to paint the rocks or not...

I meant urban rubble, but anyway, here's a couple of sites I quickly found which could give you some tips =)

Urban Rubble @ B&C
Urban Rubble @ Heresy Online

Gale Force Nine do a basing kit for urban rubble which consists of some broken bathroom tile and two types of sand as far as I can tell....

Let me know what you think =)
