And so it began....

Lets just start with he-man on battlecat(wolf).
Sounds interesting as idea, but is a not so good model.
I'll have a pic of it handy if a SW boasts too much... :P

His brethren, the wolves.
cavalry and space marines does feel wrong.
The "additional wounds in form of a wolf " are not that bad, a feral chapter may still follow some weird
'a hunter and his dog' scheme. So yay for the ( again no model? ) fenrisian wolfs.

Now the thunderwolfies. I am not a fan of cavalry in sci fi.
We have some nice IG builds ( deathkorps, others on lizards, ....) but i fail to see the point of SM cav.
Do the white scars use cavalry? No? But their born as riders. They may even fight without hinderance
because theyre used to. So we see WS bikes and more bikes and still no living mount...
This TW idea is too much fantasy in space in my book.

What point to make next?

Oh your scouts. Yes, SW scouts are battlebrothers, not newly inducted recruts. Not much change to see,
so it may be different from codex.

Cheap grey hunters. Seems to be the balancing in points for all those shiny upgrades.
IMO, every space marine should have BP/CCW/boltgun as standard. But i am not GW ( yet  ) ...

Blood claws. I like the "must forfeit shooting and charge instead" much.
Makes the boni ( +2 ) on assault a risk. Or a WGPL mandatory.

Thus, we have the superflexible Wolf guard. Some nice ideas, some expensive shiny things to suck the points from any SW into the black hole of maximum army size.
Would appreciate a definite answer when they are attached to a pack plus what they become then and if
they return to elite/WG if their pack dies.
I think mr kelly should have expended more words to these WGPL.

Will spare some points for another post. 8)
