Just a thought, but has GW copywrited the Raven Guard symbol? It might mean we cant use that? Not sure...

But the type/text designs will be fine as I own the font.

i doubt that they own that design, by itself. if that were the case, then theyd be trying to sue many different families throughout europe and the rest of the world who use it in their heraldry... just like the greek symbol for omega, they cant technically "own" that, its all in how you use it.

The shirt idea is great. If I'm able to get one made up, I'll post a picture here. And I think I'm in the same boat as SyNidus, I like the polo shirt idea. There is a digital stitching shop were I live and I might get them to stitch the RG logo onto a polo shirt. My wife had custom hats done for her business and the stitching only cost about $12 per hat, so I'm going to see what they can do.

Let me clarify Games Workshop's position on using logos and images that are under their IP:

If you wish to make your own Tshirt, or jacket or decals or stickers you can do so, as long as you don't sell them.

You cannot have anyone make an item if, by using GW's IP, they make money off the creation, so if I go to a T-shirt designer and give him a RG logo, that will be a violation of GW's rules, as he is making money off the use of the design protected by the IP.

However, I surmise this is only a problem if the T-shirt company etc goes into mass production and offers them on ebay or via a webstore or BnM store. If you had one made up for personal use, GW probably won't pursue a lawsuit against you or the service.

mmm. I'm probably not going to use the Raven logo to be safe. I'd recommend just using the type on it's own.

So how are we getting these done? Are we getting them printed by ourselves or are we paying Levitas to have them done and send them to us?

So, I saw Levitas at GD and noticed his had nevermore across the back. Mine had Victorius aut mortis written across the back. How many different variations were printed by you, Levitas? I'm curious.

ha ha, yes indeed. I wanted to be different I guess, yet the same. I almost had my tag on there too. It was cool to meet you Dvil, and Wicked Clown too. I'm glad the t-shirts helped us to pick each other out of the huge crowds!

I gave the options for the t-shirts when I put them together, I think there were a handful of varients using the RG and forum theme. I like the Nevermore because only a handful of people would know it's origins, thus making them worthy of talking to me

I had a few people ask me about the t-shirt and wher I got it, good promotion ey!
