Prepare to hear from a broke Jaspercation when imperial armour 8 comes out... still we'll see what we actually get, i think its a little too crude at the moment (looks like a hopeful designers pics tbh) but should be worth the wait as forgeworld has a knack of making you want to buy stuff :D

Looking through it I couldn't make out the name of the hero they would be coming out with, but then when I saw what would be in the book below him I could care less. If that thumbnail turns out true, looks like everyone is about to get rules for stormbirds.

Would be fine with stormbirds but read storm-eagles, so maybe a difference?

Looks like the hero's name is Korvydae. I did groan when I read that - Corvidae being the scientific name for the crow family. It is good to see RG attention. I'm guessing the Storm Eagle is the mock-up in white you can see elsewhere in the Warseer thread. See the link below.

The storm eagle looks cool.
The good thing is they show how to make it in plastic cards, instead of buy a 50€ model, thanks !!

These bird names truly suck (at least most of the times - who the hell thought about it in the first place?). I hope that in the novel "The Hunt for Voldorius" we won't see names like Sgt. Peacock, Chaplain Parrot, Librarian Albatross etc.

Hmmm my post didn't go in, but wow I've been behind for the last two years I"ve been harassing FW about info on them making RG stuff but been told that there were no future plans, maybe the amount of people using Shrike now have made the RG a bit more mainstream.

So how does Imperial Armour work? Is it a book you buy? Does it have rules for everything in it (My wife plays Orks so ...)

Then you need IA 8. Has space marines AND orks. :!:

The imperial armor books show Forgeworld models and have some rules for those models.
( somehow, these rules seem to be really expensive in points....)
Its an "expansion" from GW's "subcompany". Not pure 40k, but compatible.
Most of those models cover rarely used things from support-vehicles, flyers, titans, very big creatures/demons,
specific armies ( Elysians, Krieg ), upgrades for GW kits,......
All of them usable with your opponents consent.
Oh and some of them better fielded in Apoc for their sheer size.
