Telion in darkgrey / black

got him from start but never painted him up...

Tried something different with Telion in a dark grey.
Tank grey + black washes ended up this way:

(Seems it gets black too).

Yes, some close up pics would be better? Why not paint his hair and beard black and a little more white his skin in order to be more fluffy?

Hey Fhadhq!

I like the background, its very cool. I must agree closer pics would be great. Its a cool mini. Being a scouts player, I'm going to be painting a Telion clone soon... so I'm inspired now!

From this distance can't pic out all the details, but I like the cloak and metal work, its all very cleanly executed.

I like the color scheme. Blue / black / metal is really cool.
May be the cape could be more homogenous. Do you want it black or blue ?

You all know this guy has the stealth USR, wasnt easy to get this shot.......

Actually, too dark in my free time, so maybe another pic ( s ) on the weekend.

Cape:

was Tank- GREY. washed black and shadow-grey highlights.
Maybe the shadow grey gets it blue-ish?
Could be me and the "xxx-grey" printed on the pots used.
The good thing is, tank grey + washes gives me a reflection free dark surface that looks black but is not.

Somehow i believe hes ready, but its not impossible to move my opinion on that. :wink:

He looks nice.. but my honest comment:
i. I believe you can do better with the cape. I myself isn't very good at painting cape, but that stroke is just too rough.
ii. Deep black base actually look better than blue. Sanded.. much better

iii. The skin is awesome
iv. The red eye need some highlight.

Overall: good work brother

Where did you get that idea from?
I am still more a army-painter

than a model painter

. And as such, didnt encounter more than 3-4 models with capes.

But no, cant be bothered with several layers.

I see what you mean, but this may need to outsource the painting of that cape.....

Its just a "base painted to have not a black base on the pic" issue. Should give him a army-compliant base
someday. Didnt do well, :oops:

but time ran out and I really sped up to get him shot with the cam before the sun sets. Couldnt escape with this base could I ?
