From a modelling and sculpting Point of view, excellent use of Grey and Greenstuff can't fault it. and in this aspect its as awesome as a peanut butter and honey sandwich, (pure sugarrush in a tin, well bread but you know what i mean) but im not to keen on the i'm a kinder egg holding a lascanon look. Bit harsh i know and i really do think it deserves all the credit it gets cause technically its brilliant, i just don't like the style in my own personal opinion.

Its really different in design, but was meant to. If i understood it right, the job was to create a "dread" based on those heresy art
( covers, pics in HH.visions of..) and looks successful in this.

But still actual Dread variants are better.
Design of termie armor changed and so did dread armor too.
Higher number ( Mk x ) may not include superior systems. But it could.

Wouldn't say its a better dread or the only possible design for pre-heresy dreads.

Interesting, but i agree, it's an ugly dread variant to base a model off...

As for my PH RG, it'll have to wait because i'm back to being busy again.

It will be part of my (mostly) Heresy era based Raven Guard army, due to get painted (for real!) starting in 2010.

Well, right after my Truescale Alpha Legion army, also due to be painted in 2010!

While it may not be for everyone, I'm very pleased with it!
