Right then after getting set back slightly by work I didn’t get around to read vraks 3 until this afternoon. Just like the other IA books its extremely well presented with its nice glossy pages! Here we go,

contents.

Section 1 Siege of vraks

For starters we have the conclusion of the story. I haven’t read it all yet but so far so good.
Also includes portrait style pics of a sorcerer of nurgle, a titan princeps, grey knight and a khornate termie

Section 2 Forces of the Imperium

As usual lots of high quality pics as well as back ground and rules for the grey knight redeemer and razorback, the minotaur, valdor tank hunter and inquisitor lord Rex. there is also the Krieg armoured battle group army list, bit disappointed with this as theirs no Sappers in it!

Section 3 Forces of chaos

More pics! Lots of rules for units though! We have rules for the defiler, greater brass scorpion, blight drones, blood slaughterers, two monstrous creatures - the khorne gore feaster and nurgle jibber jaw. Bigger scarier things include the chaos reaver, Angrath, scabiethrax, two daemon princes uraka the war fiend (khorne) and Mamon. Lastly theirs rules for Lord Zhufor (finally) and Necrosis a nurgle sorcerer type. Lastly in the section is the nurgle renegades list.

Section 4 Scenarios.

The “historic” refights in this book are a bit of a let down compared to past efforts. Four apocalypse missions, one normal mission and two cities of death scenarios and these look like the most fun. In the first the imperial player has to kill/capture a chaos lord reminds me of the good old assassination mission from previous editions. In the second the grey knights must close a warp portal and banish a daemon prince.

There is also a node campaign to refight the whole campaign.

Section 5 Appendices

The usual score here just rules for super heavies etc. But wait! There’s also eight data sheets for apocalypse! We have

Venatarii Reaver Titan Maniple - 1+ reaver 2+ war hounds reavers get to re roll hits if target is hit by war hounds.
Ordo Malleus Covenant of Destruction - 1 inquisitor lord, 0-1 grey knight hero, 1-4 grey knight units all must be in raiders
Forlorn Hope Death Rider charge - As the name suggests los and lots of men on horseback!
The Purge - 1 chaos lord 1+ plague marine squads, 0+ termies, 0+ marine squads. Only contains models with the mark of nurgle. Has the special rule weapons of mass destruction wich funnily enough is a poisoned apocalyptic barrage. UN weapons inspectors have been called in to investigate.
Blight drone Infestation - Just lots of blight drones!
Blood Slaughterer Onslaught - Just lots of Blood Slaughterers!
Thunderstrike Tank Destroyer Squadron - 1 command tank 2-4 valdor. Command tank has to be either malcador or a malcador annihilator. The valdor get to combine their shots to cause some impressive damage.
Damnators assault force - pretty much the same as a ancients assault force but for chaos and don’t have to have a tech marine with them!

There you go guys, a break down of the book section by section. Hope you enjoy!

Interesting but i cant be bothered with FW books. IA 1 +2 were available per GW, now its IA ? and i dont
see a reason to buy them from a little foggy island.

It seems you enjoyed it . :)

The titan reroll is nice, most other things look like "just more models".

PS: Who wins?

Imperium wins but due to the amount of WMD's and nurgly type things fired/released vraks is pretty much a dead planet.
The IA books are interesting but as campaign books i dont think any are as good as the Taros campaign, that one was a beast! Apparently the next one will be Elysians against orks. Figures crossed for that one!
