Ok so coming up with something for the terrain competition led me to my bits box, and as more and more was lifted out, more and more was added to my conversion. and before you know it i have a "THING"









I have no idea what it could be, although had some ideas from friends.

A temporary water filtration unit.

An Emergency Power generator

And (deep breath) R.E.O.S.E.P or a Raven guard Extended Operation Supply and Equipment Pod. geurilla style warfare would be in need of supplies and so with this they could drop supplies via droppod so raven guard units can resupply with ammo and get replacement equipment...

to me, my first thought was some sort of tank, where you would put a severely wounded soldier (most likely marine) inside the tank, and heal the trooper with liquids (a la, luke skywalker in star wars, and the dude from Mechanicum, minus the permanent bit for the princep)

Hmmmm..... a thing.

Looks technical, maybe a mission objective?
A tank could be it, with some coolant fans....
-plasma cell storage?
-something for gathering/filtering water out of the air?

or just "the thing".... a piece of tech so pre STC no-one understands it but its still useful and you dont want to lose it.

It has doors, it could be an entrance to a lifter, that belongs to a huge subterrain base ?

BAM, thats just what I thought when I saw it - surface entrance to an underground facility of some sort.

It's not shaped right for entry through the atmosphere, it needs to be more conical in form for a 'resupply pod', It could be some form of energy storage unit, though would these have massive doors? Doors mean access to me :S


To be honest, I really like it. Its one of those 'things' that steals your attention as your imagination fills in the parts that your understanding cannot quantify (I've been wanting to use some big words all week )

y'know i think were onto something there, and it'll be fun to have something thats not just another piece of terrain.

Maybe you could have a sieze and control mission, and then depending on how well you did the more models you would get in something like space hulk.......*lightbulb lights up above head*

I thought it was like a healing tank that you could drop from orbit for a badly wounded marine: in the event that it would be too difficult to get an apothecary in there.

Kind of like a stasis/healing thing.

Its a transponster.
