Hi guys, finally got my Storm Crows sigil up on the web along with a couple of concept sketches for my "counts as" Shrike model and an idea for a Librarian.
I'll post some background ideas in a while for some C&C.




The claws are going to be from the Chaos Terminator Lord, the helmet is supposed to be a mk IV Maximus helmet - not sure how best to do this, maybe modify a plastic Mk VII helm. The legs are going to look as much like the recent Jump Pack Chaplain's, I'm not sure how to do these as the Chaplain's legs have too much extraneous detail. The Jump Pack will be one of the really old Rogue Trader era packs, which I have been trying to pick for ages and finally have managed to get hold of.


The Librarian is going to be based on Mephiston's top half, a Necron Staff of Light for his force weapon (a little de-Necronised and Astartised). The Jump Pack will be another classic Rogue Trader pack. Does anyone know where I can get a cyber raven / crow or just a normal crow / raven?

I looked for a cyber raven too. The best option was from the old space wolf rune priest Njal Stormcaller, he has one sitting on his hand with wings open. Other than that try the fantasy range, anything in the wood elves?? I don't play fantasy so maybe barking up the wrong tree...(sorry)

depending on the size you're wanting you could go for the one on the Empire General's shield... you'd have to carefully trim it from the shield, but its about as good as i got for ya

Its great your using some old rogue trader stuff, in many respects i prefer them, (the quality of minis has gone up, but they nt have the same passion as the older ones )

Very Nice I like the way you drew the raven.

Although i think for your librarian, the top-half mephiston might just look dingky with the legs. He's got that flowing robe for a reason. Try out, see if it fits.

I think the old nurgle mounted sorceror has a crow sat on a sign post not sure if you can still get the mini though.
