Glad you guys like it. The lightning claws are the metal ones from the veterans. The bodies of Shrike's Wing are berserkers with all the chaos icons and arrows filed off. Gave them a slightly different look than the average space marine.

That DOES make them stand out a lot more...

Just curious, how many of you guys paint your veterans and terminators with white helmets?

I do, it looks cool and goes with the ravens skin going whiter as he gets older, which is echoed by the helmet.

I don't...but that's because I don't like painting white over black...even with the foundation paints...

Quick coat of codex grey over the black and then white. Its not as bad as when i painted my red talons..black undercoat followed by terrracotta brown then red gore highlighted upto orange. looked great but was really sick of it after a while.

Raven guard are much nicer to paint. I'm not thrilled by the foundation paints, a few thin coats is always prefearble in my oppinion.

I just don't like white on black...I'm giving my Chapter Master and Chapter Champion gold faceplates...

I paint them white, i agree with you Lev, it looks great.

Surprisingly, the Gold Faceplate came out quite well...I just painted Tin Bitz onto the black, then went over that in Burnished Gold...

As for the Chapter Master, I'm going to leave him be for the moment...I have 70+ Stormtroopers, and a combined Imperial/Space Marine Fleet to paint first...

that combined fleet should be something to behold, u should post them if you get the chance

I intend to...right now I've only got the Imperial Navy ships built and some of them need new bases (little buggers keep snapping), I'm waiting on my Marine Escorts from Forge World....

Never thought I'd say this...but I prefer Resin to Metal...

I don't. Its far too fragile for my liking. When you try to drill I find it often cracks.

You can't impale your fingers on Resin though

Half of my metal models are stained red in places where I've punctured skin on sharp bits...

Nasty, where do you get these models from though
Are spaceships a new edition to apocalypse or is there a special variant of Warhammer just for them?
Would you be able to use them in normal games?

i believe that all of these that stryker is talking about are forge world models, and as of yet are unable to be entered into an official GW tourney (unless of course, it was a forge world tourney)

I'm talking about a Battlefleet Gothic fleet...I'm also building an Aeronautica Imperialis Air Force so that I can compete in multi-game events/campaigns that a friend of mine runs...
