I'm building a 1750 RG Army, and I had some questions about using GoI power with Locator Beacon,
and also about Drop Pods & Scout Bikes.

Here are the GW answer from Customer Service.

I've got the same answer from two sources from GW, so I guess it should be correct.

Some questions may see a bit silly, but I've encounter some players that rose doubts about, so ....

Hope that can help, if you plan to use GoI, and Drop Pod like me.

Subject: Warhammer 40000 rules questions

Hello,

I have some Warhammer 40000 rules questions, that impact the units I may buy for

my Raven Guard army :

1°) I would like to know if a Locator Beacon (not a Teleport Homer),

for example on a Scout Bike,

can help a Space Marine Librarian focusing its power "Gate of Infinity".

Yes, it does.

2°) If a scout bike has infiltrated near foes before the first turn of

the game, is its Locator Beacon usable at Turn one, for example,

droping a Pod near it ?

Yes.

3°) When disembarking from a Drop Pod, does the 2" move must be

measured from the hull or the ramps of the Pod ?

Measure from the hull.

Nice, though these were rules I'd already come to expect.

Seing as you're on a winning streak with GW, ask them if Shrike can infiltrate an IC, haha (JOKE!)

Nah, good stuff. Its always nice to have some of those gray areas cleared up =)

We are now up against live, hostile targets. So, if Little Red Riding Hood should show up with a bazooka and a bad attitude, I expect you to chin the b!tch.

My missus says I've got the mental age of my unborn baby girl, but what does she know?

at least I stayed on topic.

Ya know, we ought to make a poll once every now and then about which ever random rules questions need clarification and fire the most popular one off to GW. I'm certain that within a few months GW will have started to recognise repeated questions comming from the same person and start supplying us with automated answers like "Your question has been deemed too stupid to answer, have a nice day." :)

This isn't the usual answer now? :P

But i do support your fine idea, we should put forth the same question to everyones regional GW representative and see what happens.

As the americanos seem to have Mr S. as appointed rules-answerer, but the europeans just ask those GW employees not fleeing fast enough
( impossible when you make your fleet roll), is this good or bad to have 1 rules-guy ?

Back on topic:

@ Aldebaran:
-Was the answer what you expected?
-may we help you next time ?

as you see above, there is plenty of help here.

Well, in fact I was expecting exactly these answers, and I needed sort of official ones :)

I faced recently an opponent in a local tournament, that swore using GoI with a Locator Beacon wasn't allowed,
so now, I will feel more confident about this.

I know that email answer from GW aren't an official FAQ, but next time I'll have a little more than my speech to
argue about these points ;)
