I think that the time is right for a forum competition! Hopefully, it will test the skills of our generals at painting their troops! I suggest we do it in three stages.

1. HQ Comp.
2. Troop choice Comp.
3. Army Comp.

I don't have any ideas for a prize, but who knows... this could go rather well!

just a thing do they have to be new "as in the national painting competition that was at GW stores where you had to buy a kit and paint it in stores or can you pick your best models that you've already done!

either way im up for a competition :P

Good good, lets get some Ravens painted.

I'm going over judging criterion and so on with Eetion. Talonclaw, i'd appreciate it very much if you were to arrange our entries and so on. It would be really helpful, Thank you :)

How do we show the models? picture or send in :? :?

A competition for RG-models may be good to get to our 10.000 marines goal :lol:

I'll hope we have : 1. lonely HQ-fig 2. squad-figs 3. walker or vehicles 4. complete army

as possible entrys :)

It would be pictures sent to the judges...

Anyway, this painting competition is held between Sons of Corax forums and the Serpent's Lair forums(alpha legion).

More details will be added in the future.

In all likelihood there will be 3 categories

Single Model
Squad Category
Large/Vehicle Category

Each forum will send in 3 entries for each of the categories...mean the heretics will send a total of 9 entries, we will send in 9 as well. Judging will be done by myself and Eetion(admin of the Serpent's Lair) and a third person, we're discussing who that should be. Whether he should be from SoC or SL or perhaps even a 3rd party forum.

Further details to come, be ready Sons of Corax.

I like the idea of 9 entrys. :)

Which forums could be 3rd judge? general 40k or specialized marines like B&C?
A neutral 3rd judge may get it more concentrated at the work => paintjob. :wink:
