I'll be posting some more pics of the Sternguard and officers over the weekend - I've just tried, only to discover the camera needs new batteries. In the meantime, can I direct you to my Warhammer army?

I'd love to hear what you guys think of them. Next up will be a LIzardman army when the new book is out... Any problems if I post pics in this forum?

Love them! Really nice work! Although I've never painted a warhammer army, I've always liked the wood elves. They would be my first choice.

So many nice conversions and great colour work. Top stuff Jed. Very impressed.

Gah no not the shooty shooty run away'y elves, (yeah thats all they do when they come up against me :D)

saying that though you Jed you have just acquired a hell of a lot of respect from me (and this is from a dark elf :P) those treemen are just brilliant, and all of your models are painted extremely well, love your noble models, the poses are dramatic, the paintings clean and precise and it captures the idea of the wood elves and the charm and charisma i always associate with the lighter elves :D well done!!!

Brilliant work and as for the 54mm wardancer, i would be proud to do something half as good as that!!!!
Hats off to you! now im off to feed my Nauglir :P

Thanks for all feedback - I'm obviously doing something right. Would you believe my mother thinks I'm colour blind? She still insists I am, even after being presented with the full range of work that you see. A few more marines now.

How many Shrikes? And, as it's Christmas. I found this guy in the bits box, from the days when 40K had more humour than it does now.

Great work, your stuff has so much drama. They are never static. Nicely painted too!

all fantastic stuff. The Nid hunter looks really mean, i'm sure he;s cracked a few carnifex skulls with that beast of a hammer!

and yes, the termagaent is about to get hot indeed.

Wow, I had that Mk 3 too! Yes, it's Iron armour. Looks very cool Jed.

Superb stuff, really nice job on all of them.

It really is a great Librarian model, perhaps the best one GW has done.

Finally, the Techmarines have done their stuff. It's taken about 2 years for me to pluck up the enthusiasm to repair this beast. When I did, it's taken 2 days - most of which was waiting for glue and paint to dry. Without further ado, here is Dies Irae in all her glory. When I finish retouching the paint job and covering the chips, I'll post a fewe more.

From above. That's a plastic drop pod, to give you an idea of scale.

Some of the weaponry.

The business end: the Techmarine is operating the ramp controls. Next to him is a brother ready to disembark.

Inspiring, awesome work man. I'm really excited about the poses, the paint work on the metal, and the facial features. The volume of work these photos represent is pretty crazy!

Seeing an albino Dark Elf in White Dwarf inspired this. I took one look at the DE and thought albinos aren't grey. Wonder if I can paint an albino Wood Elf? He's the end result. SInce painting him, I've come up with a bit of fluff for him. Aiwendil is only ever seen in winter - he appears with the first flurries of snow and disappears again when the spring thaw comes. His albino skin has led some to speculate that he is a winter spirit of the forest, almost the reverse of Orion. Others have said that, when one winter ends, he walks the hidden paths to emerge at the onset of the next winter.
