I played it tonight...a game as the Blood Angels and a game as the Genestealers...can't say much except the following three words:

OH....MY...GOD!!!

JUst had my hands on the sprues today, courtesy of the local GW manager. As marketing tricks go, it's effective, but my willpower is still hanging on...perhaps the don't buy comments from my other half have something to do with that.

I had a real good look at the terminators. The plastic is red, no doubt to tie in with the Blood Angels. THe models are clip together, with 3 or 4 pieces each. Assault cannon, hvy flamer, lightning claws and thunder hammer are all included. The poses on the terminators are dynamic, and are far superior to the ordinary terminators for 40K. As mentioned above, one brother has ripped the head and spine off a stealer - think Predator trophies. Others look to be turning to engage, one is reading an auspex (so the manager tells me - I missed that one) and another is kneeling on one knee. The sergeants have extra detail, robes etc.

My fondest hope for these terminators is that GW sees fit to release them as a separate box set. With a new job and lower wages, I can't justify the game...but I could justify the termies.

Wow, Jedideinos, you read my mind.

I just converted my aobr termie sgt, and I need to make a new one to replace SGT. Johnson. How chapter specific are the fluffy bits of sm models? Will they require a lot of sanding to strip them of chapter specific stuff?

There are a fair few blood drops on the armour- some you could just file off, others are a bit trickier as they in the centre of other decoration. The pics I've linked to should give you some idea (below te main image).

Just one question: are the sprues the same plastic than usually GW stuff?

not sure about the quadruple post but, yeah its exactly the smae plastic as they use for their normal standard range of GW plastics and sprues. it's just dyed a different colour.

with a limited run of 75,000 i can't see many being available by the time i get to buy it.

and also sorry to bring the tone down, but i've heard its exactly (not just like) but exactly the same rules set as the original anyone confirm or deny this for me.

Apologies.
Didnt want to spam.

Cant find delete button either so these 5 copies should be deleted ASAP, please.

Was in a GW store to grab some more marines for the hands and sallies...
made it through the gathering of staffers unharmed but couldnt escape the final question:
"youre playing marines? why not buy 'space hulk' for the termies? "

Do I want to get SH shoved down my throat because i ask to get the bill?
Do i look like i may invest a lot of € into a 'standalone' game just to get a few termies?
:?
really?
:x
REALLY?

*back from handin these heretics to the inquisition*
But i doubt SH will not be available to everyone, what ive seen on preordered boxes lying in the store and
the staff still trying to sell more, no there is enough SH for all of you.

So fear not.
There are more hulks in space than we know.....

Had a quick game earlier and it does seem very similar to the old versions. However dont quote me on it as i havent played the original since the early 90's!
