Im looking into making some sternguard as a deathwatch killteam.

Do the models for sternguards have the arms and shoulder pads together or are they like the palstic space marine sprues?

It depends on the models.
On 5 models you get, 3 are all metallic, 2 may be customized with separate arm & shoulder pads for special weapons.

The 3 metallic contains :
- a model with powerfist and sterns bolter issue.
- two models with sterns bolter issue.

In others words :
if you're happy with that outfit, go along, else you'd better make your own.

;)

yeah the shoulderpads are permenantly stuck to the arms so if your trying to use the killteam pads i would definately use plastic space marine arms instead of those given, but be aware a few wont even allow that level of customization.

if you want a similar look to sternguard but alot more customization, try looking for a few of the old veteran blisters, Most if not all have the left arm easily customizable with a plastic arm or in some cases just throwing a deathwatch shoulder pad onto them. (

failing that with a tactical boxset, and a few alternative arm and feet pieces (from bits stores and the like) and positions you can really make a nice looking deathwatch squad.
