so, i thought that with our numbers swelling and activity increasing that it would be a good idea to have a thread where people could post links to useful websites. This can be anything from bits sites, to sites that focus on tutorials, etc.

here are a couple of bits sites that i have found (you probably have been there, or heard of them) :

the War Store

bits and kits

there is another one i have found, though i am extremely reluctant to post it, so if you would like it, please feel free to PM me.

bits and kits is a great site, which like this forum is ever growing, i remember going there when they only had a few marine parts and now it has just about everything!!! notification of postage (although all the times i have ordered from their, i have the parcel in my hands when i get the email saying its on its way :) )

if your looking for a cheap way to get complete kits and boxes,

Minatures by Post

is quite good, normally selling things at 20% off GW price, the postage is normally pretty cheap as well. got the boxes the next day, so its quite impressive!

Bits and Kits is amazing. I ordered a second lightning claw for Captain Levitas. With his new extra attack he perforated a Necron lord just an hour ago. Thank you Bits and Kits, I couldnt have done it without you :)

just ordered a heap load of stuff from Bits and kits to create my squad of legend, for all the parts (minus a tactical squad sprue) came to £20, not bad when thats part of a ruin, basically a whole dark angel and black templar, bits to make a celestial lion kneeling over a fallen comrade. Running leg parts, loads of space wolf parts, weapons, and many many more items including the terminator sized bases. Lets just say im getting about 47 different parts in total :P i'll post pictures in project log (there's a knight of the raven in the squad so i may be able to get away with it :P), or on this topic, if you guys wanna see what you can do for some spare money and a tactical sprue. 7 different chapters seven different poses. One bored student. I feel a kits bash coming :P:P

ps. it was cause of this topic i went on bits and kits and finally decided to do the squad now!!!

pps. i still forgot to buy the tank hatch for my leman russ, thats twice i've been on their to buy one and twice i've forgotten :P:P:P

so, i saw a thread on another site, where a guy was asking for.....wings. That's right, the same general idea as what i am going to attempt. however, in some of the responses, people posted some links to various sites that sell minis in the same size (or so near as i can tell) as 40k. the one that most intrigued me:

Micro Art Studio

they have some extremely beautiful bases for sale, and some interesting "wings" that i really like actually. they look more like jump packs than wings, but they do look awesome
