Right I've never been too keen on the idea of magnets, mainly cause i havent known where to look or it is too much hassle, but if anyone knows anything about Tau crisis suits or even Terminators would know swappable weapons is a nice bonus, but what magnets do people use and where do people get them.

I've heard loads of random ideas, ranging from rare earth magnets to simple fridge magnets, but im not too sure about any of them. so any advice would be greatfully recieved.

Sorry Jaspercation, I missed this when first posted, if you're still looking for sources of "Rare Earth" (also known as neodymium) Magnets I have used these guys before.

http://e-magnetsuk.com/magnet_products/ ... gnets.aspx

I've used the 3mm and 5mm so far, the 3mm ones on Tau Crisis suits and marine arms and backpacks, the 5mm on Tank Turrets etc.

These things are seriously strong a small pin is occasionally necessary to get weapons staying pointing in the right direction, but that is only occasional, most of the time one of these on an arm and the other on the weapon is enough.

I've never had anything fall off accidentally to date.

Good work Captain Narishma, i'll be checking that out too. How long before GW jump on that band wagon??

Quick, maybe dumb question. But the bond sounds pretty strong, and superglue can be really crap. Is that the best stuff to use to attach the magnets?

Useful for termies too, maybe dev marines with a bit of tweaking.

If only I had them before I hacked up my Vanguard...3 times. :/

Superglue holds them fine for me, though in the process of putting them in the recess that I make in the plastic / metal I normally end up with the thing stuck to my finger / knife a couple of times.

These things are so magnetic that my knife now has a magnetic polarity on the area of the blade that I normally use to hold them.
