So I need green stuff advice, and I got into a gluey mess that you can see on the rear shot. Throw out all the advice you guys can, cause this projects a bit of a trainwreck... Mainly the left arm is bad, and the armor is glue saturated where the left arm shoulder pad meets it...

So, on the wysiwyg angle, Librarian Webern is an older very practical Librarian in a 10th company training unit. He's old, currently using the smite ability, has his psychic hood integrated into terminater armour. I streamlined him down from the terminator sergeant that comes with aobr. I had made a tome for him, but settled for the scroll on his hip instead, the book was well executed (for me!) but was not to scale.

To summarize, is a basic librarian, in terminator armor, bolt pistol, smite, gate (not represented), and a twho handed falchion style force weapon.

Are you pinning the arms? Super glue should work fine if you pin them.

Nope, I guess I should try that the next time around. Is there any kit, brand or particular method of pinning you'd recommend? (BTW is it one morale roll for each wound, or one roll for each squad that scored a wound... j/k) I haven't even looked into it, as this is only my 5th conversion.

Also, I applied glue before I attached the arm, forgetiing of course that I could've just greenstuffed it, got it in place and then put a small bead on it! Really, I just rushed it. The glue join slid around as I finessed (read hammered) the arm into place. Its a classic example of me hurrying because my hobby time evaporated.

It might be better to ebay another 5 man terminator aobr team, and use what I learned to make a new one... at least I really like the concept.

the white comes from super glue

Arent AoBR figs plastic? Why use super glue then ?

PS: i really dislike greenstuff.

All plastic should be built from plastic only. Maybe gaps filled with plastic putty later.

The idea of greenstuff is to sculpt things, but you need to practice a lot and find a good tutorial how to for any success.

To reposition an arm, i would stick with plastic body + plastic inbetween + plastic arm. Then fill in any putty you like.

I found out about the bolt pistol not being an option, so, I removed it. Thanks for the heads up on that!

About the super glue, Fhadhq, I used it to affix the teflon coated wire, and the electronic eyelets onto the mini, I wasn't sure plastic cement would adhere plastic to metal/teflon. Probably not wise. I was rushing in between family moments late at night, when I shoul've set the piece aside for proper assembly. Sometimes I either don't research enough or my inexperience shows... or I get in a hurry. I'm trying to get about 1000 points of semi descent minis on the table, so I'm not playing half painted/ half primered anymore.

Anyway, thanks for the link I'll follow up on that shortly.

I removed the arm, and reattached sans gs after a live posing session with the wife holding a katana at rest... was informative, hope we didn't scare the neighbors! I reattached the arm and hand primered the mini with watered down white. I'm going to cover the glue mess with a wound/battle damage. Will post pictures after a little more of the basic colors are blocked in, this will help the photos stand out a little more.

...electronic...???

Could you be more precise about that?

*Imagines glowing eyes*

But yes, super glue is fine for anything mentioned on the "bottle/tube".

I just prefer to keep the amount of different material on one mini low. All plastic is normally the best option.
Are the wires now for show or real ?

PS: Good idea to include the wife in your hobby.
PPS: neighbours won't discuss with katana-carrying wife.....

Hey!

Deleted the previous photos, as they sucked!

Did someone mention macros? Well, I did a search and figured it out, thank you for the advice!

The electric eyelets? Oh... we use them to solder stuff in at work, I'm using them for sockets, like the one on his forehead! (no robots in disguise... darn. The teflon wire in the P'hood is actually used for wiring bass and guitar pick-ups!

The wife is very good with katana's, so I make sure not to spend too much on mini's...

So, here's the promised photos.

This one is of the glue damage...
