Here is my Inquisitor. In defence of Elisius in the Hexperax system. He's central to a campaign/event next month so I figured I best get him painted. His standard could be much higher but I just wanted to get him done (wow, I say that a lot lately)

The skulls are the only remains of his team...

His ever present agent 20 is also included.

Nice Inqusitor.

 Inq and nice....

but i really like this model. Not so overdone as some "scroll-heaps"-style minis.

Needs a new Team, i guess. Doubt those skulls encourage to join.

once again you amaze me with your subtle highllights and blending, the cloak being especially good use of colours going from the brilliant white to a dark grey really adds depth to it, and makes it feel, organic if you get what i mean :D

The calladius is really well done aswell, but what was it like to paint such a different type of model? going from chunky power armour to sleek curves?

i love it. what did you use to attain that red?

any special rules for the servo-skulls? or are they just mystics?

Thanks guys, I basically rolled these out as I wanted to add a few new elements to my list. As apose to the center piece of a DH army.

So I just used what I had in my bits box, and picked up the Calidus for placing in a tournament in Orlando.

I still wanted him to fit with my ravens so used the same colours. The red is scorched brown over black, followed by red gore then blood red high lights. The white is codex grey blended upto skull white.

The skulls act as skulls (+1 Inititive 0 which I forgot in his first game) and give him extra powers should he want them.

The gun is used as a psycannon.

The Calidus made a nice change, its a decent model with well sculpted muscle tones to highlight. She has great rules. I'll probably do a Vindicare at some point too.

the Calidus does have great rules. The whisper rule is amazing. hellooo rear armor or hello moving Oblits right behind a wall... Funny thing is, theyve only got a 1/6 chance to get back to where they were @ deployment! (lots of good chances with stuff there...)

How do you plan on kiting out your Inquisitor wargear wise outside of psycannon? so hes @ init. 7 with 3 skulls?

I learned that an inquisitor in termy armor + psycannon is pretty nasty, always fire the heavy weap. profile of the weapon :)

sorry - my harddrive fried and i lost my copy of the DH codex :(

Yeah, shes the nasty one of the assassin choices. She just pops up any where and starts dealing out no save hits. The potential is vast. Just a shame you HAVE to take the inquis lord to get her in there.

The Inquis is pretty basic in this build, as he is simply a method to make the Calidus available. So he has a power sword, inv save of 4+ and psycannon. Also take a targeter which is vastly useful, in that it lets you measure before you declare who you fire at. A sneaky player can also use this to pin point ranges for assaults and other units. Not cheating, but does give you a definate edge on ranges.

The other build is to bring in the inquisitor as an elite without the Calidus. You then tool him up to take on Chaos stuff with wards and charms n tricks in the bag etc.

psycannons are great for popping light vehicles in addition to their anti-warp based trickery.

Very clean and subtle job, as usual 8)

Just one constructive opinion : maybe models could have more colors on them.

Not too many, but it's lacking a bit contrast, to me.

Perhaps you could try to do the base in other colors than grey or black ?

That way, it would enhance your models, by contrast.

Do you see what I mean ?

As always Lev, you inspire us all to not only get cracking with our painting, but also knock out new models and new ways to play our armies.

Would you be interested in selling the model? Because I really can't match that quality and would love an Inquis =) hehe

You got it, its the DA back pack and robe. He's real simple to do, like most of my conversions. Keep it plastic ;)

H'es worth about a quid CR :) the postage would be more ha ha. So make your own, its easy.

Ah, well Evolved. Its a grey area. He is central to the Elisius incident for Hexperax (see that section) i'd say he is a puritan...but in may shades of grey.

Yup, he could use more colours. But I have become pretty impatient of late - guess its that stage in the army. I may go back later to a few models and touch up.

yeah, the skulls were free in the dev box. Woo!
