Welcome to the 6th (if i've counted right ) Update for the hexax Campaign. Two months on and we still have some avid members of the forum, and well the ultramarins still havent arrived , its good to know somethings never change.

Chaos remains in the system defeating the 8th company after they struggled to deploy, This strangely has been the only record of chaos in the past terran weeks, this is both heartening and suspicious, be vigilant. The 8th company has fended off attacks from the guard, one can only assume they have strayed from the light of the emperor. The Eldar have also been beaten back by the 8th as they made their way into the system as well, how they remained undetected is a mystery, and why they have come is an even bigger one. All enemy commanders fled the field of battle before the wrath of the Raven guard, but we must not rest on our laurels.

The Earthen have also came across fierce fighting on Haelic against a roving band of mercenary kroot in a small skirmish. withdrawing from the sudden attack, they regrouped for more fighting. Facing the Blood angels. Little is known why hostilities ensued or why Blood angels were present in the system. This has led to concerns in Hexperax command but they have agreed no other course of action would have been sufficient. The blood angels lost most of their heavy equipment as a baal predator lay smote on the ground. and their commander dead.

The results have once again been calculated by command and are pleased to note the standings of each commander.

Several forces are recouperating after hard fighting, The delta strike force is on minimal strength and are awaiting reinforcements to regain their strength after the blood field massacre. the warp gate has shown random spikes of energy which have been repeated across the system in several spots, all commanders should treat these with extreme caution.

Bonus Objective

With increasing enegry spikes in the area, and at an increasing frequency, all commanders should try and preserve as much of their force as possible in leading up to a major system wide offensive. Command will therefore, reward any commander who succesfully completes a battle with at least a 3rd of their force left in tact. Please use points values when working this out and round points up if you have a decimal.

It has raised a point actually, if anyone wants to be in the campaign either start with a destination, or a battle report, or please contact me if your interested but cant play any games at the minute. It something we should have put up ages ago but the warps a terrible place to be.

Right here goes my first update without Jaspercation there to keep me on track!

Hexperax is so nearly liberated its hard to believe that we only started a few months ago.

I am noticing however that it has slowed probably due to the winter season setting in but keep it up!

The objective from last week still stands as no one has claimed it remember 1/3 of your force HAS to survive.

Oh and Jaspercation couldn't just keep his hands away so heres an update of the table.

This Friday I'll be popping across the pond to visit Philedelphia so I'll be in comunicado for at least 10 days.

Oh and seeing as though there is only 22 days of Christmas shopping left heres a suprise.

The Delta strike force has regrouped in low orbit and will resume Ground operations soon. They will link up with a small detachment of imperial guard that have just entered the system, and push the advantage of numbers to recovering several artifacts that have a unknown presence and could prove decisive in the fate of Evora

Ansul is close to falling into the 8th companies hands as after a string o victories they close in on the Manifactorum, surrounded in a bitter war against alien and inquisition alike, they go to cut off the heretical leaders grip on the planet, once the Manifactorum falls, it is but a matter of time, or will the 8th company overstretch too eagerly to bring this war to a close, only Levitas will tell, as he post up a few battle reports.

On this note we will be capping the planets so that they can only be contested after four victories and taken back into imperial hands after 8 wins, This will note affect any planets already taken as yet, but may do in the future.

As it is coming up to Christmas the bonus points system is getting an overhaul and so now is the time to get some bonuses under your belt. There are Three ways to get involved.

Points Extravaganza

1) Play a Game! yes that's right you will get a bonus point for playing a game, win or lose its yours to keep. successive points will be awarded as follows
1-3 games: 1point
3-6 games: 2 points
6+ games: 3 points

so this is a great and easy way to win some bonuses but its not over yet.

2) Anyone who posts up a picture of part of their force or fluff to support their force and its involvement in the campaign will be awarded a point, (we would appreciate it if it was new or unseen on this forum before) This will get you a bonus point for each so if you post a pic and some fluff, That's 2 Points!!! (this will be redeemable only for 1 piece of each type, so 2 pictures will not equate to 2 points sorry )

PS: if you have your own thread for this type of thing we will try and check it, but please PM us a link to the article so we don't miss it out.

3) Anyone who comes up with a campaign badge will gain a point, and it doesn't matter how its submitted you could use photo shop, ms paint or even a picture drawn on a serviette (as long as there are no ketchup stains in the picture ) We are looking for the design the idea and the development of the badge, and so a picture on ms paint will not be marked lower because it doesn't have the fancy layer effects of say photo shop.

all we ask is that it be legible, and if you could include a short piece doesn't have to be long at all, of why you have included the different items it would be helpful. The best as chosen by me and evolved, (if there is a tie we will introduce an independent judge) will gain an extra 4 points on top of the point he has already received, meaning the winner is up for a massive 5 points. (that's 2 wins and a draw in game terms)

just to reiterate, this is based on ideas not execution of the design, so don't be afraid to post up anything you want. multiple entries are allowed but will only receive one point for however many you post. Sorry for being a Scrooge.

Ansul has been returned to Imperial Hands, due to the bravery of the 8th company! first taking and destroying the traitors manifactorum, and then holding their own against the chaos counter attack, though the Chaos champion is not among the dead and must have escaped the surface, we feel confident Ansul has been secured and rescue barges have been sent to recover the imperial Ecclersiarchs that were dispatched to the system.

The 8th company are now awaiting orders

On one note, although this is a Raven Guard and [s]missingmarines[/s] i mean ultramarines. Imperial forces are bound to enter the system offering help, and so we maybe opening up the campaign to any imperial forces, (this may be temporary we'll see how it works!) So invite any of your imperial friends to join, and have a bit of friendly competition, to taking over who can take back the system (we will use the enemies of the imperium results to balance the new forces involved out, we'll say more when we have fully tested the idea.)

Ok everyone, hope you've had a good xmas and a very happy and fun new years but the time is closing and soon you all will be called to answer the fate of a planet. This will be no ordinary war, This will be the first step on whatever path this system will take, be it good or bad. We are finalising ideas, playtesting (well i am anyways) and running mock scenarios, This will be the first evolution of the campaign but there is still fighting to be done, and for the next week still bonus points to be earned.

The future is grim, but we hold the light of our Emperor high.
