I thought this thread was best set here.
I checked out GW's online store earlier, and found that backpacks and jump packs for marines are now purchasable in blisters of 5 at the cost of around £2.50 and £5 respectivly!

This is absolutely epic! Now we dont need to pay a fortune per pack from bits vendors when we want to make a jump libby or other conversions!

I've got 20 jump packs (4 blisters of 5) on order as i write this!

Enjoy

We are now up against live, hostile targets. So, if Little Red Riding Hood should show up with a bazooka and a bad attitude, I expect you to chin the b!tch.

My missus says I've got the mental age of my unborn baby girl, but what does she know?

Nice to have the JP/BP again seperatly available. :)

I'm sure JP were available as set of 10 before.(shop+MO).
Was a bad day when we lost the Bitz-service of GW-MO. :(

Has anyone tried using tac squad models with jump packs to mix it up?

All plastic space marines are fully interchangable, easy to compose models from different sprues.
The "speciality" of the ASM - "body" is only the chestpiece, so if you didn't want the usual look for the marine with a Jumppack,
take another chestpiece.
Wouldn't be a problem to mix every plastic SM sprue.
Tacs may always have "their feet on the ground" where the ASM feet are posed running/jumping. So a Squad with JP may look abit
as "landed" / walking when build from tacs.
Just a design choice. 8)

Yeah it's easily done but in reality all your changing is the legs on assualt marines, which does make for a dramatic pose but i wouldn't go too heavy with them, i have one or two spread across two assualt squads, saying that though i think using running legs on our tactical marines makes for a really good "fleeting" look though.
