Hey guys,

As most of you know, i am now living in Germany and have my WH stuff with me, but i am having a "slight" issue at the moment.

I need a good glue for getting metal parts to stick :( i went to a couple of the local Modellbau here in Wiesbaden, and settled with a bottle of stuff made by Revell, but it just doesnt cut the mustard for me. Does anyone know of some good stuff that i should try, and where i could get it??

thanks in advance guys

Modellbau or hobby seems the right choice. Baumarkt may have something useful too but theyre "staffers" are crap.

So, i dont know of any revell piece, but there are in general 2 types of glue that do the trick.

-super glue, fits together different material but has sometimes issues with metal/resin parts.
-2 component metal glue. Needs more time but works even with heavy pieces.

Most of the superglues i have used could be from smaller companies, so i am not sure if you find them nationwide.

I had : durax , zoom and another one where i can't remember the name as superglue.
Had also: metallkleber ( greven ), 2 comp. epoxy. Needs 24 hours.
All of them worked somehow.

I think one of the main problems is the basic material. Metal and resin needs to be cleansed.
Plus some metal models fit badly. Super glue must have appropriate surfaces to work. Flat does fine but many minis
have wierd designs for their "cuts".

Sorry may not have a correct answer. Possible to see a lot of small or medium companies selling their glue here.

dont forget to let your metal minis soak in warm water with a little dishsoap to get the casting oils off

If you have a REME workshop (or American equivalent) you can get locktite super glue for free and it works really well.
