The 2nd Company was entering the ancient perimeter of the mineral world of Zenthan II.
A distress signal has been captured two weeks ago, the workers telling some weird
phenomena was occuring in the sky.

Darius felt the warp breach impact on the Navigation System as soon as the Helios
Battleship arrived near the first moon of Zenthan.

The space in the area was bent and disrupted by many warp storm, the old librarian told the 2nd Captain.

The scanner showed activity on the moon's surface.
Two thunderhawks left the Helios.

Aajz gave Scouts orders to take position on the highest platform in the area and report immediately.
Minutes after they unpack their material, a terrible sound tore the air, with lightings following.
The air had became foul.

Andromalius, Arch Demon of the Blood God, standed before them...

This a battle I fought one month ago.
I can make errors on the lists, but that is I can remember.

Daemon list

Andromalius - BloodThirster

10 Bloodletters
10 Bloodletters

6 Plague Bearers + a special poisoned weapon
6 Plague Bearers
6 Flamers of Tzench
20 Slaanesh Daemonettes

Daemon Prince Mark of Khorne
Soul Grinder

Solari Spearhead

Aajz Solari, count as Shrike
Darius Alistair, Librarian Terminator with Storm shield, Gate, Null Zone

5 Assault terminators
10 Sternguard, 4 combi-meltas, 1 powerfist

Tactical Squad, Drop pod
Snipers scouts

Assault marines
Typhoon
Typhoon

Terrain:
Two high towers dominate the field.
Many buildings around.

Scenario : Annihilation
Deployment : Dawn of war
He win roll, making me (of course) go first.
I deploy the snipers on the top of a high building, to slow the assault on those.
I deploy also the Tactical, on a lower floor, to protect the scouts, without their pod.

Deployment

My turn 1:
My first pod arrive empty. I choose that to block the access to the stairs that access to the floors where my tactical are deployed. The rest of my force arrive, except Solari and his friends, who I choosed to outflank, and the sterns pod. I move my terminators behind the drop pod. Nohing is still there so no shooting.

His turn 1 :
His preferred wave comes in.
The bloodthrister DS near the building of the tacticals.
A soul grinder appears to the other side of the building.
Good for me, his bloodletters DS scatters and he find himself a little far from my troops.
A Plague bearers squad appears some inch behind the greater demon.

My turn 2 :
Both typhoons delivers their krak shot vs the bloodthrister, removing one wound.
My snipers remove also another wound.
Tactical fails to do nothing to the Soul Grinder.
Assault terminator use fleet and charge the Greater Demon !
He claims one of mine, Thunder hammers claim him through two wounds...
Null zone was key for killing the greater demon here.

His turn 2 :
Others Plague bearers arrive.
The Tzench flamers arrive and deliver their deathly breath, killing one assault terminator.
His Soul Grinder hurts my tactical a lot. 5 go to the Emperor. They hold firm, however.
Bloodletters all run toward my tacticals, but are not yet at assault range.
His first plague bearers assault my Terminators, he put all (and he's right) on the librarian.
He is saved by his SS, but still takes a wound.
In return, the squad blast all but one bearer.

My turn 3 :
Aajz fires his jump pack and arrives, outflanking from the right with fellows ravens !
Due to Fleet, I think he's at range of the Tzench Flamers, and they take the air.

I cannot handle the Soul grinder for the moment, he's too far.
I wait for my sterns and cross fingers but they don't come in...
Typhoons decide not to let the bloodletters threatening Tacticals, and delivers Frags missile and bolters shots. Nice rolls. One squad is decimated to two demons. The others to four.
Null zone gives him a headache here.
Tacticals remove two more Bloodletters. They are no more the threat they was.
Aajz and friend manage to assault the Flamers and cut through all of them without taking a loss. Fine.

The terminators struggle with the last bearer, doing nothing at all, and suffer another loss,
very bad rolling here !

His turn 3 :
His daemonette arrive but he wants to place them in a surrounded place with ruins cover saves.
Bad move because he DS mishaps and I choose where to put the squad !
Of course, I put them in the opposite corner, very, very far from the playground.
Time gained to clean the place, I guess.
So Darius is left with only two TH/SS friends.
His Soul Grinder kill me again two tacticals. They want to stay a bit more.
He charge them with the four bloodletters remaining.
I already see them dead, but my sergeant with powersword survives.
2 bloodletters are even killed, thanks to the surrounding Null Zone.

My turn 4 :
Sterns come in. Good to see you, guys, you're very welcome.
Their pod scatter a bit but still they're in 6' range of the Grinder. Well.
Typhoons shoot at Tzench flamers and kill 'only' three.
Sterns open the hellgate (the heaven gate for me here) and deliver four short range meltas shot to the Grinder. He seems to dislike that and shakes and explodes. Return to hell, boy !
Darius and his guys charge the remaining flamers, and kills them.
I charge with the snipers the 2 bloodletters, 1 sergeant combat.
The sergeant die finally, but the 2 bloodletters too, again due to Null Zone, to scout normal attacks.

His turn 4 :
The lone DP wants to say hello and DS near my Librarian.
He use a power and manage to kill Darius.
Good move but a little late, I guess.
Daemonettes move, but they cannot do anything useful.

My turn 5:
I ignore the far Daemonettes and fire all to the Demon Prince.
He dies from combined fire of Typhoons, Snipers, and a charge of two terminators and Aajz.

In his turn 5, the lone daemonettes were still too far to do anything, and game ended here.

A nice game finally. My plan went well.
Sometimes my opponent didn't have luck, but Null Zone was especially hard to manage for him.
He could have put me in problem if I couldn't have managed the Grinder.
Thanks to the scattering rules of Pods, it didn't happen.

Hope you liked the report

So you have banned those foul warp beasts.
As you should. :D
I think its a good example why nullzone is fine vs demons and how DS piecemeal hurts an army.
