...to you guys. I just stumbled in, and I very much like the style and the atmosphere here. Quiet, dedicated and respectful. Very Corax-like...

Just wanted to tell you, that it was this great site, who finally convinced me to play RG. I started a little playing of 40K some years ago, with Black Templars (for fluff reasons) then, but quickly realized, that their kind of playing - style wasnt to my liking. I came about this WD-Article about the RG, and I fancied them from that point on. Flexible, stealthy Guys, who need to work together to face there heavvier enemies... just my kind of army (Wood Elf Player, you know. ) . And the fluff was really cool too!

But then I supsended my hobby, and now, as I am able to play again, my friends tried to convince me on other armies, since RG are too specialised, to one-sided, etc. I listened to them and was already wondering about White Scars, Dark Angels or even Eldar, unsatisfied with their background, when I stumbled across this place. And after reading some tacticas and BatReps, I was sure, that my first love it shall be. For it looks to me, that this is indeed a great place to be for a true son of Corax.

So, my regards to you all and kudos to SyNidus, for creating this nest...

On a side note, if you painted those Templars, then you have very little work to do in order to convert them to Raven Guard! =)

A highly maneuverable army, with a wide range of tactical options, which needs a combination of coordination, precision, a cunning battleplan and a generous dose of tactical skillfulness, if that plan goes awry...? That should sound strangly familiar to any defender of Athel Loren...

Or as Brother-Captain Aldebaran put it so eloquently: It is an Army, which needs a General with a special ability, seldom found in some Astartes Commanders:

Ahh, our poor warped (pun intended) Cousins... But I have to confess, some more years ago, I also had to ponder weak and weary about the choice between Dark- and Woodelves. In the end, I decided for the army which fluff I liked more. And I didn´t ever regret it.

I very much hope so. Because I am an awful painter. Kind of an "Anti-Master Artificierer"

Lets count : 3+x wood elfs, 1-2+x dark elfs, ?+x high elfs. Any sea elfs?

So back to the grimness of the dark future.

@ aldebaran: Marines have their faith, we dont need a brain. umm. wait. Marines have their faith , we dont need to remind our opponents we have a brain too. Wearing no helmet wouldn't be a good idea if a brain is necessary.
